Derrick Boissière (Raleigh) had a hot day on 8/29 when he shot a 208 (+57) game and a 556 (+103) series. On 9/19, Brenda Cameron (Raleigh) rolled a 180 (+50) game and won a 180 patch from the USBC. Marion Boissière (Raleigh) had a 200 (+57) game on 9/26 for which se receivd a 200 emblem from the USBC. On 10/10, Bill Clarius (Middlesex) bowled a 538 (+106) series and received a 200 emblem from the USBC. 10/17 was great day for 4 members of the league. Frank Petrone (Knightdale) was smoking as he shot a 211 (+56) game and a 576 (+111) series. He racked up a pen, towel and, from the USBC, a 200 game emblem. Mary Critcher (Raleigh) rolled a 416 series for a 400 pin from the USBC. Then Tom Bumgarner (Raleigh) bowled a 158 (+51) game and 403 series; the USBC sent him a 400 pin for the series. Lastly, Tim Davis (Raleigh) rolled a 206 clean game. Hallowe'en found Harold Cameron (Raleigh) shooting a 191 (+52) game and a 501 series for an USBC pin. At the same day, Marvin Pearce (Raleigh) bowled a 233 (+51) game. Well, Marlene Davis (Raleigh) burned up the lanes on 11/7. She bowled a 211 (+79) game and a 527 (+131) series. For those two scores, Marlene earned a 200 game emblem, a 500 series pin and a 75 over average game emblem from the USBC in addition to the CAUSBCA's pen and towel. She followed on 11/20 with a 185 and collected a 180 game emblem from the USBC. On the same day, Cecil Reid (Willow Spring) rolled a 183 (+69) game and a 402 series to get a 180 game patch and a 400 pin from the USBC.
