This year's course will run through the historic Mordecai neighborhood and start and finish at the Halifax Community Center, near Peace College. Women of all ages are encouraged to participate. For many women, this event is often their first opportunity to take part in a group-running activity.

Anything is possible with the right attitude! The Tucker Dupree Story

Anything is possible with the right attitude! The Tucker Dupree Story
Tucker Dupree was a normal senior at Garner High School. He was a student athlete, with a close family and an active social life. Then one morning he had a wake up call that would change his life forever. Tucker woke up with severely impaired vision. After weeks of testing he discovered he had a rare genetic blood disease called Lebers Disease that causes the rapid onset of blindness in males in their late teens or early 20's.
While this was a huge disappointment to Tucker it was not a road block to him in the pursuit of his dreams. Tucker went on to graduate from High School, attend Wake Tech and qualify to represent the USA in the Paralympics in Beijing in September in six events. His amazing story has another side. Tucker wants his family to see him compete in Beijing and he is personally trying to raise the funds to bring them to China by telling his story. And, his story will motivate and inspire children and adults alike using humor and insight about how he navigated a "bump in the road."

Or, if you would like to make a donation to help Tucker take his family to Beijing you can do so by going to www.tuckerdupree.com.
