How about passing a law that requires any officer of the law to stop for motorists stranded on the highway? How many times have you seen or witnessed first hand that officers have passed you while your trying to flag them down for a ride, phone, etc?

Wow! Another *brillilant* idea!
After all, a stranded motorist is the most urgent thing that a policeman could possibly have to deal with. The cop may be on his way to some trifling little matter like a hostage situation, or domestic disturbance, or automobile accident where someone is dying, but all of that pales in comparison to the horror that is a disabled vehicle where all the passengers are clearly safe!
