Since it was founded in 1994, SAFE Haven for Cats has placed over 3,400 cats in permanent, loving homes. We take a lot of pride in caring for the shelter cats as if they were our own, but we need more compassionate, like-minded people to help us do this. Except for three full-time paid shelter positions, all of the work in caring for those cats is done by volunteers.

Without volunteers SHFC would not be successful in finding homes for homeless cats and kittens. We currently need people to help care for the 60+ cats in our shelter, to represent the shelter at special events and activities, and to participate on various specialized committees. We value our volunteers!
