Q: What are those items under the “forum’ heading?
A: These are subforums, categories that we wanted to start with that we think people will want to post to. For example, if you have a good warm-weather recipe you want to share, you can post it to “best summer recipes.”
Q: How do I do that?
A: If you are a registered user, you will see a button in the upper right that says “I want to.” Click on that, and you will see a drop-down menu. At the top, it will say, “post to the forums.” Click on that. When you do, a form will open up. Fill in the subject line, then select "best summer recipes" in the forums drop-down menu. Then you can type in your recipe in the body window. Click on "submit" at the bottom of the page and you will post your recipe.
Q: What if I want to start a topic that's not in the ones you have created?
A. Do everything above but select "food" in the forums drop-down menu, and you will post to the "topics" list. Remember to hit submit after you have finished typing.
Q: What if I want to reply to what someone else has posted here?
A. Click on their post, and it will bring up a form. You can post a new comment. Remember to click on the submit button when you are done.
Q: Should I do this rather than start a new topic to reply?
A: Yes, because that way, all the comments relevant to a particular topic can be found in one place.
Q: When I post to this forum, what's a quick way to get back to the food forum?
A: Look at the top of the page you are on. You will see a row that says "Home -forums - hot topics - food." Click on "food" and it will take you back to the main page of the food forum.
Q: What if I want to put a link in one of my posts to another web site?
A: You can do that by highlighting a word, or words, like "go here for more information," and clicking on the little chain icon among the symbols right above where you are typing. That will bring up a box where you can insert the web address. You should submit your post and then check to see if the link takes you to the right web site.
Q: What web browsers work best on this site?
A: Any up-to-date browser should work. For PC users, try Firefox or Internet Explorer version 7. For Mac users, try Firefox or Safari.
Carver's Creek Carrot Cake Recipe
Does anyone have the OLD Carver's Creek Carrot Cake Recipe. It was made at the restaurant by the staff. It is different from the new recipe.
