End of August 2007. A nice perspective on the dam, boulders and the blue lake. The lake was 4 feet below normal conservation level at the time. It was dropping level every day as over 60 million gallons a day was withdrawn for public service, over 100 million gallons a day was released to keep the Neuse River running, over 50 million gallons a day possibly evaporated and some infiltrated or otherwise vanished!
