People in Recovery, a Support Group for people dealing with life in
times of crisis, or with on-going mental health problems, will hold
its first meeting. It will meet on Sunday, Sept. 9th at 3:30 pm in
the conference room of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of
Raleigh (UUFR) at 3313 Wade Avenue in Raleigh. This support group
is sponsored by the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI-
Wake County) and will be led by volunteers trained by NAMI. NAMI-
Wake and UUFR hopes to reach out to people in the community and who
are in need of a support group due to crisis or chronic mental
health issues, such as depression or anxiety.
