The Skating Club of North Carolina Announces the 2007 Dogwood Open Competition & Future Champions Series Event

|

The Skating Club of North Carolina welcomes the public to the 2007 Dogwood Open competition, a Future Champions Series event, sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating. The competition is open to all members in good standing with the USFSA. Levels of competition will include Tots through Senior level skaters and Adult Pre-Bronze through Masters.

The event will be held August 17-19, 2007 at:

Raleigh IcePlex

2601 Raleigh Blvd., Raleigh, NC  27604

All members of the public are welcome to observe and cheer on these wonderfully gifted athletes from all over North Carolina and the surrounding eastern states.

Now in its fifth year, the Future Champions Series (FCS) offers an exciting opportunity to reward skaters in the juvenile, intermediate, and novice levels (singles, dance, and pairs) and encourage them to stay in the sport. Competitors will accrue points based on their placements at non-qualifying competitions that are part of the FCS. Top point receivers in each discipline will then be awarded a gold, silver, and bronze FCS medal.
