"Frederick Douglass from Slavery to Freedom: the Journey to New York City" is a panel exhibition that explores slavery and abolition through the life of one of the most famous men in nineteenth-century America. The exhibition explores his life under slavery, in Douglass’ own words, and his escape to freedom. It will be on display at the Cameron Village Regional Library at 1930 Clark Avenue in Raleigh. Admission is free.
In conjunction with the Frederick Douglass exhibit, the library will also display a collection of quilts made with African-inspired fabrics. The quilts were handmade by Wendell Library employee Sharon Barrow.
