So where are the loud voices that once screeched from Duke now that the "hooligan" lacrosse players have been declared innocent and Nifong has been disbarred? Silent. Are they embarassed by their abominable treatment of three boys who did nothing? Seemingly no. And the president of the university? Absent.
Were I a parent of a college age student, I would never allow my child to consider attending Duke because a.) My child should never be associated in any way with a university that acted as a lynch mob, and b.) My hard-earned dollars would never be used to fund anything Duke is connected to.
I trust the parents of the lacrosse players will sue not only North Carolina and Nifong, but Duke University for its deplorable behavior and defammatory faculty so smitten with hatred that in the face of all evidence they helped destroy three innocent young men.
