Democrats in Congress -- What difference do they make?

Public confidence in the Democrat-led Congress fell to its lowest level in Gallup poll history this month -- 14 percent. In the House, Democrats have passed their agenda easily, peeling off many GOP votes on such hot issues as a minimum-wage increase. But favorable action in the Senate will be more difficult, and besides, President Bush opposes many Democratic bills.

What difference have the Democrats made since taking over Congress? How do you rate their performance so far?

Sad State of Democratic Party

These people in congress and senate first of all cannot agree with eachother, they present bills that SOUND good, but are full of so many add-ons that have nothing to do with the bills, they make a fit when they aren't approved. In the 40 years of 1955 to 1995 when the democrats were in power of congress and the house, the country has gone down the tubes. Law on top of law on top of law, not enforcing any of them since they don't support police spending, they instead give the money to the criminal breeding grounds of welfare housing and again no enforcement of how long someone can be on welfare. This is just the tip of the iceberg... This country needs some real leaders that DON'T PLAY BALL IN WASHINGTON! Zero tolerance for waste and secrecy.
