Neighborhood Signs

Okay, this is the third and last time I'll try to get an answer here. The first two attempts just vanished.

I live within the Raleigh city limits. My subdivision has a nice sign by the entrance, but it is almost completely overgrown with weeds, grass, etc.

WHO is responsible for maintaining such signs? That's all I want to know, yet every time I ask this question it disappears.

Share indeed.

If I lived in a neighborhood

If I lived in a neighborhood that had a beautiful sign and it was all grown up around it and nobody seemed to take responsibility to clean up around it, I think I would be tempted to tackle the job by myself and keep it up rather than let it continue to look bad.  Just a thought.........

Signs, etc.

Hi Edgars,

Thanks for your response.  I agree - my neighbors and I could easily care for the sign.  What I was curious about was WHO is responsible for caring for the sign and why are they not doing their job?

Otherwise, we have an English Class where Mrs. Teach doesn't show up.  "Hey, we can teach ourselves!"  suggests one student.

Somewhere, off in the distance, a property-tax payer laments, "Didn't we pay for a professional?"  [No. I'm not saying "GIVE US A SIGN!]

Generally, the homeowners

Generally, the homeowners association is responsbile for that. WHile there may be funds involved in replacing or repairing a sign, there are grants available from the city. You mgiht try rooting around on the city's Web site.
