In hopes of finding some good participation here with plenty of input, feedback, and perhaps even actual lively discussions/conversations I would like to open up a new type of topic here concerning the great outdoors where people can share their favorite places in the North Carolina piedmont, post photos, and perhaps even post virtual tours of some of their favorites, especially state parks or natural areas, hiking trails, annual events such as festivals (music, nature related, or otherwise), mill crank-ups, or anything else outside the big cities of the North Carolina piedmont. Hopefully with such a wide range of potential subjects which could be covered under this topic we may find that some of us have a few things or interests in common and others may find this to be some good reading. As for the coastal plains and the mountains of North Carolina hopefully someone who frequents these areas more than I do can start similar topics for these assuming this broad topic works out as hoped.
