Send a Message to the Canes

danbarkin

OK, they're out of the playoffs. Can't do anything about that. But you can send a message to the Canes. Tell them what you think of the season, right here. Feeling like you should say something that would cheer Rod up? Put it here. Got a couple of words of wisdom for Cam? Some advice for Bret? Doesn't have to be a Hallmark card, but the boys could probably use a lift right now.

We'll Always Have 2006!

I've lived in cities with multiple Cups, and cities still striving for their first. Raleigh is by far the best, with the most enthusiastic fans. Regardless of their performance this season, Raleigh has many more great years left in the core of this team. I look forward to a not-surprising-to-us comeback next season. Heal up & stay in shape, guys!

we're proud of you

at every game i attended this season, the good and the not so good,i was continually awestruck by the courage and guts you guys showed, playing hurt literally every night.gosh,i cry at a torn fingernail!!!.go play golf, fellas, relax, get better, and remember--you didn't finish last, either.i'll be back next season, too, cheering you on

kathy kalinowski of cary

(feelings seconded by her husband don, daughters mariette and larissa, and son in law david)

We will be back stronger than ever....

That which does not kill us makes us stronger.  Here's to a strong 2007-2008 season.  See ya at training camp!

PS Please stay Ray and Scotty

No regrets

I have watched every game on television and listened to the ones not on tv on the radio.  i got tickets to a couple and even got a WARD jersey.  Hurricanes, I have no regrets on the hours i spent cheering you on.  Do not have regrets of your season or of the way you played.  I saw glimpes of the Stanley team but I also saw glimpes of a new team who played with such heart and fire because they were Champions.  You know you have it in you.  Next year, dont hold back.  You can do it again because you have to believe that you can.  Play with the heart of a Champion.  We all know that you are.  I'll be there next year!

Stay Proud Hurricanes

It's a tough thing to try and defend the Cup; probably tougher than winning, but not by much. As a Season Ticket holder for 7 years,  missing only one game in those years, we've seen it all. The highs, the lows, the seasons when we could only win 1-0 or 2-1 and in betweens. I am gravely disappointed we're not in the mix to defend. Because this team is good enough to win it all again. But it's not meant to be.

I was in the building tonight to see the 'real Canes' that bunch that never said die, that gutted it out and dazzled all in one breath. So I can go into the off-season, knowing we let this year slip away, yet full of hope for a huge bounce back year and a return to playoff hockey.

Rod Brind 'Amour, thanks for representing this team and your fans so well. Ray Whitney, see you BACK IN RALEIGH in Sept.; what a great leader and example you became this season; and Scott Walker, please stay as well. Tim Gleason you have a huge budding fan base that loves what you bring to our D. Cam, Justin and our Eric(K)'s: our future and our core, we look forward to seeing you all shine in 2007-2008. It's all good from the Caniac nation, who will always be proud of this team and what they represent for our community. Thanks Guys!
