Bad Call on the Henderson Foul.

irish21

As a neutral (I wanted the roof to cave in on both of them), and a possible beneficiary of Henderson's suspension, it was still a bad call.  No way that was intentional.  He was following the blocked shot!

Yeah.....right

That was the most flagrant foul that I have ever seen.....in 40 years. Henderson should be ejected from ACC basketball for life.

If they had shown it once more on the bigscreen, Henderson may have not gotten out of the Dean Dome intact.

yeah...right

How many games have you watched?  Do you only watch UNC games or what?  Do you not remember Chris Paul punching Julius Hodge in the manly region?  If he was in any way going for the ball, it wasn't the one you shoot through the hoop.

I think Henderson was trying

I think Henderson was trying to block the shot but whiffed badly and caught Hansbrough.  He hasn't done that sort of thing all season long so I really don't think he would start that now.

the right call

If you have DVR and study the play you can see the ball was long gone when Henderson threw the elbow at Tyler's nose.  What really bothers me about it is Henderson being quoted in the N&O as saying "It just turned out way worse than what I intended."  That pretty clearly tells me what happened was an intentional hard foul ended up being way worse than intended.  You would think the top basketball schools would have learned something from what can happen with hard intentional fouls after what happened in the past in Temple and in the NBA game of the Knicks vs Nuggets.   The excuse of the Knicks was also that the other team should not have left certain players in.  Pretty hypocritical for Duke to say another team running up a big lead is to blame as close as this game was compared to hundreds of Dukes games running up the scores over the past decade.

I like forum.trianglefreeforum.com

I'm not so sure it was intentional.
