Joe Miller included my favorite walking spot in his story: Lake Johnson. On a sunny day, there's no place better on Earth for man or beast. Ask my dog Sandy. My second favorite spot is my West Raleigh neighborhood, the streets around Powell Drive Park. You can walk there on the worst day before dawn or after dark and find fellow walkers to greet.
