Why, because we beat UNC once, a UNC team that must have been looking ahead to the Duke game because they certainly didn't come to play against us? Hell, if that's your criteria, maybe we should bring Les back, because he did pretty well against UNC, didn't he? All bow to Sid for leading us into 9th place so far, lol.

You don't measure a coach by what he does at full strength, you measure it by what he does in the face of adversity, and in the face of adversity this year, Sid hasn't done very well.

It was a good win, but let's get real here. No way we should have beaten this UNC squad, a team that beat Arizona at Arizona by almost 30. 

And for those who dream of a sweet 16 year if only brackman and ced were here, you guys are hilarious. That's exactly what Herb did, and you guys gave him hell for it, but if Sid had done the same, it somehow becomes an awesome achievement and a great season.

Now, if Sid can get these guys to shoot 60% for the game and 53% from the three vevery game, which is what it took for us to beat UNC by 4, then I'll gladly join in on the worship service.  Until then, I think I prefer to live in the real world. Huh???  He beat arguably the most talanted, deepest, team in the nation with 5 healthy scholorship players, a point guard at about 70%, and a walk-on.  I would say what he did Saturday was one hell of a job facing adversity!!!!

The original comments were those of a troll.  They were designed to provoke, not to put forth a truly held view. 

 Therefore, it's not surprising that those original words can be so easily refuted.  The surprise is that Sidney was able to provide the irrefutable truth in only his first year.

Give this team Fire and Ice, and we're off to see a conference championship and possible national championship.  This team needed one quality point guard to backup Atsur, who would have kept things together while he was injured.

 That's why it was very good that Sid was able to secure the services of that transfer from Tennessee.

If he were an excellent coach, it wouldn't have taken 21 games to get the team to execute the system. But you're right, if your team shoots 60% for the game, 76% in the second half,and 53% for the game from 3, then yes, you have a good chance of beating anyone in the country. But I don't think Sid's coaching had very much to do with that. Sometimes teams get on a hot streak which is what they did this game. Let's see how good a coach he is when the team plays more down to earth. Oh wait, we HAVE seen that. It's why we're in 9th place.
