RALEIGH, N.C. – Oct. 22, 2009 – The PTA at Leesville Road Elementary School has launched a new website at http://www.lrespridepta.org/blog1/. Designed by LRES parent Shawn Covely, the site includes a comprehensive calendar of events and news, as well as information about membership, volunteering, fundraising and teacher support. Since LRES operates on a year-round calendar, parents will also find a list of local track-out camps. “The website is just one method we’ve implemented this year to strengthen communication between the PTA and LRES parents,” said Susanne Martin, PTA president. “We hope parents will find it to be a user-friendly resource where they can find all the latest PTA information.” LRES parent Maria J. Mauriello is serving on the PTA’s Executive Board this year in the newly created Vice President of Communications position, and has oversight responsibility for the website and its maintenance.
