Youssef Alharoon of Boy Scout Troop 314 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in North Raleigh attained the rank of Eagle Scout on August 6th, 2009. For his Eagle Service Project, Youssef led scouts from his troop and other volunteers in installing daylily markers to benefit the Daylily Garden Club and Raleigh Hemerocallis Club at Jaycee Park. Youssef has served his troop as Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader. He is a freshman at Campbell University and a graduate of Sanderson High School where he participated in track and field and soccer. Youssef, 18, is the son of Vanthaphone Phongsavath and Emad Alharoon.
