Very nice! Great composition too!

Thanks Java! Practicing visual perspective and waiting for the right moment can make a big difference in the out come of the photo.  But I'm sure you know that!

Do you know what kind of flower this is?  The same flower was growing wild at the river - I had no idea what kind of flower it was but it was very beautiful.

What you probably saw was the Butterfly Weed, a wild plant/wildflower.  I bought my plant at a nursery and I think it is a cultavar of the wild plant. They are available in a variety of colors and my plant has grown to 3' since I bought it this spring.  The wild plant grows about 12" or so high and has a shrub-like habit.  I have posted both the orange and yellow varieties:
