Have you been buying cheaper liquor?

|
Return to The Random Thoughts Blog

Starting in August, high-end liquor in North Carolina will be cheaper. The cost of a half gallon of Grey Goose vodka will drop from $71.95 to $59.95. The cost of a fifth of Absolut vodka will drop from $21.95 to $19.95. Read the N&O story here.

Has the bad economic climate forced you to buy cheaper liquor?

Sort of

We've just been buying less of what we usually get every week. Instead of two trips, it is one. Or we may skip a week or so. Just can't buy the cheap stuff because it isn't as good.

yep

liquor is something that you really don't need and they mostly do taste the same... just buy stoli now instead of goose.

Well, always have

I stock up on duty free liquor during my annual trip to the Virgin Islands. That $50 bottle of single malt scotch (at 750 ml) here in NC costs $30 in the VI, and is a full liter to boot. I buy an entire case and nurse it one bottle a month. I've been doing this for over ten years.
