I hope all the hard work the Obama people did will pay off. It seemed like these people were everywhere talking to people. McCain's group worked hard too, I assume, but Obama's team I think was everywhere. I think they have a chance but like you said McCain is the king of the comeback.
I don't see how McCain has anything to go on. He says we have to have pro-growth policies, but he embraces Bush's negative growth policies. He's offered not ONE new idea to change our situation. 1/3 of North Carolinians have already voted in overwhelming numbers for Democrats and Obama. I don't see how some robo-calls trying to scare people with lies and a couple of commercials claiming he embraces hate because Wright said that God d*amns America for killing innocent children and for racism is going to gain much traction when McCain and Palin have fomented so much hate. Certainly not enough traction to propell a 2 to 1 McCain advantage he'll need tomorrow to carry North Carolina. The polls are rigged, but Obama will beat that spread in NC and carry the USA!
I'm think Obama will win. Young people will finally be heard!
I think the young people, as one person said, doesn't have a clue of what this country is going through. We need someone who knows what they are doing in office and Obama is not that man. McCain is the only choice.
"The young people doesn't have a clue?"
Sorry man.
When McCain dies of a heart attack at age 72 this July from his long and hard life, people will be saying a few "hail Mary"'s that this ridiculous Palin is not there to take take the government in her handbag.
You betcha!
If the "young people" of this nation are pro-taxation, pro-welfare, pro-abortion, and pro-apathy for our country then you will get what you deserve. Unfortunately, the rest of us who are pro-capitalism, pro-life, pro-family, and pro-patriotism will suffer the negative consequences, as well.
The elections of 2000 and 2004 taught me hard lessons about disappointment. So, I'm nervously hopeful that Obama triumphs. All the polls say he will, but I won't believe it, or relax, until the votes are all counted and the winner is announced. I just pray it all turns out OK and I can celebrate President Obama's victory on Wednesday.
My point is that this election will not be decided tonight. Absentee votes have to be verified - early voting - 2.6 million of them in NC alone - have to be verified. Registrations done today at the polls - have to be verified. The regular election results have to be certified.
Record numbers have come out to the polls the past two Presidential Elections. Even more are turning out this year. All the polls are out the window - only the results count.
Pray for a decisive victory - If Obama wins the electoral and not the popular ... If McCain wins the Electoral and not the popular ... If it deadlocks at 269-269 ... none of these are good results ... our country will become more divided than it already is, and the January 21, 2013 stickers will be rolling off the presses.
The past two elections had Gore and Kerry as landslide winners - only to go down in flames. Kerry received the most votes that a losing candidate ever received.
Absentee ballots need to be certified. Early election voting needs to be verified and certified. Same day registrations have to be verified and certified. The 'real' ballots have to be verified and certified. We will be lucky if we know who the President is by this Friday - and after pending court cases are resolved it may be January 20th before we really know who will be President of the USA. (Not so United.)
Go McCain!
I think John McCain will pull out yet another come from behind win. Of course it will be tough but I think he'll do it.
