RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 30, 2008) – Both lead designers at the Department of Marketing (“the DofM”) have had their creative work selected for publication in the highly selective LogoLounge book. The winning work can be seen online at www.theDofM.com.
LogoLounge—available both on its Web site (www.logolounge.com) and in its annually published book—has become an indispensable research tool, reference guide and online portfolio for the international who's who in the identity design community. LogoLounge presents the best designs of the year as judged by an elite group of name-brand designers. The book is used as a staple in design firms around the world. Out of 33,000 logos submitted internationally, only 2,000 logos were selected for the upcoming LogoLounge 5 book. This puts the DofM’s work among the top six percent of logos submitted.
Ray Parrish designed a logo for an international, mission-driven coffee company called Angel Coffee. The logo consists of a steaming cup of coffee flanked symmetrically by angel wings.
Thomas Cook designed a logo for 3D Zoo Productions. The logo overlaps the image of a lion in the three primary colors, creating a three-dimensional effect.
“We are excited to reach this level of success with our design,” said George Wallace, managing partner. “Being featured in LogoLounge really validates and enhances the other awards we’ve won for Web site creation. We can be confident that the creative services we offer our clients are first-class not only by local standards, but by international standards as well.”
