... I honestly cannot remember the last time I had ever used it. Something about using flash makes my photos look either washed out or unnatural in some way. So over the years I have developed and honed my skills at keeping a steady hand and without a tripod, and so far things aren't too bad at all. On the other hand with night time shots that take very long exposures, now that's a completely different story! Its one thing to keep the camera absolutely still for half a second, but to keep it that way for up to ten seconds - I still need to use my tripod for this no doubt!
What a nice warm picture.
I agree with Lilly this is a warm photo with nice light patterns.
I like the warmth and patterns of the candlelight picture too. One thing I have discovered about Purple Armchair besides being a great place to shop for a constantly changing inventory of unique items is the fact the people who run the place arrange everything for best eye-appeal too, and naturally this creates some good photo opportunities for a variety of random subjects.
Interesting light
I love the candle light and what the light is doing. Your hand must be pretty steady. I don't think I could have gotten this without a tripod.
