This Thread-waisted Wasp, in the family of Sphecidae (Ammophila sabulosa), burrows and nests in the soil. In this photo it is feeding on the nectar of my sedum plant.
This photo was made late in the day, about 6:00, almost too late to catch the horizontal effect I prefer. This wasp and other black insects reflect sunlight so the outcome looks better if the photo is made in a shaded area or late in the day. I am happy how the light shows off the orange-red of the tail section. I like making shots like the honeybee around 3 or 4:00 in the afternoon on a clear day when the sun is horizontal in the sky.

Is it rotated?
I have had my camera for about 2 years so I am just learning to take pictures.This picture is so sharp and the detail is awesome.The eyes are so big.Great picture
