Do you like McCain's VP pick? Obama's?

Now that both presidential candidates have selected potential VP's, who made the better choice? McCain choosing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, right, or Obama's choice of Joe Biden? Will the fact that Palin is a woman sway Hillary Clinton supporters?

Obama

Biden is definitely a better choice. Palin is a good pick but she's sort of unknown.

Why does the liberal press

Why does the liberal press and news medial let Biden get away with comments like "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," and “There’s a gigantic difference between John McCain and Barack Obama and between me and I suspect my vice presidential opponent,” Biden said at an outdoor rally Sunday, getting ready to hit the GOP ticket for their economic policies.
“She’s good-looking,” he quipped.
If any GOP candidate would make these comments the media would be all over it!

I agree...but here we

I agree...but here we go...We'll either have the first African-American President or the first female VP...this is history in the making!

This will get ugly now.

This will get ugly now. Clinton supporters will surely want to see Sarah in office to make history of their own. Now Republicans will talk about history at their convention.

Hillary supporters aren't going to flock to McCain-Palin

Palin is the antithesis of Hillary.  She is so far to the right on every single issue.  She was brought on to TRY and sway some Hillary supporters, but if someone really supported Hillary for what she stood for there is no way they can back Palin.  Palin has energized the far right of the Republican Party.  But anyone who is praised by Rush, Anne Coulter and so on is in the end not going to pass muster with a true Democrat.  The PUMA folks, who want to "take their marbles and go home", those who are bitter about thier candidate not getting selected to be on the ticket are cutting off their noses inspite of their face.  If McCain/Palin is elected, everything the Democratic Party has fought so hard for will be overturned in the next 4 years.  Just look at what Bush has done in his 8 years with his appointments to the Federal bench and the Supreme Court.  PUMA's are making the same mistake that supporters of Ralph Nader did in 2000.  Palin is a joke-mayor of Wasilla-please, that's not experience!  She is not ready to be a heart beat away from the Presidency of the USA.  She is "just another hockey mom from Alaska" with VERY conservative beliefs.  She's not ready for this.

Palin filling in the gap for Hillary

You've got to be kidding. No real Hillary supporter is fooled by Sarah Palin. She's not for women's rights, she doesn't think there's a glass ceiling, and she lives in 1960. The only place she could be elected as governor is Alaska. She and McCain seem to think that if you can be a mayor you can be a president? As Guiliani how far that got him.

Are you kidding? "Clinton

Are you kidding? "Clinton supporters will surely want to see Sarah in office?" Clinton supporters want to see Clinton in office, then Obama since Clinton did not get the nomination. Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton. Hillary's supporters were not voting for her BECAUSE she is a woman, as your analysis implies. They were voting for her because she is the most qualified and they agree with her views.

McCain made a smart choice

Palin is a great choice! To learn more about her, look her up on Wikipedia.
1) A energetic, young, fresh face who will energize the electorate
2) Not connected to the current administration
3) Pro-Life
4) Pro-Gun
5) A woman to attract Hillary voters who now realize that their 18 million votes don't matter to the Democrats

Better pick

I agree with you 100%. I don't think there is a better pick for McCain. If he wants to shake up Washington, Sarah will certainly do that.

Shows great concervative values, young, energetic and minority. What else could you ask for?
