Should Hillary supporters vote for Obama in November?

There is a debate about whether Hillary Clinton's supports will vote for Barack Obama. Some on the blogs say they won't. Others say he since he won the nomination they'll support their party nominee. Which side are you on? No matter your party, would you support your party nominee even if "your" candidate didn't win the nomination?

I will

Look, if you are in a party then support your party. Period. I wanted her to win but she didn't. Now she says vote for Obama and I will. She'll be back, don't worry.

Must one vote for one's party.

No, no and no. One must vote for the good of one's nation
One joins a party if the party's policies reflect one's ideals. If or when a party begins to act contrary to onesss ideals, then one must vote for what one thinks is right, whatever the party.

I will support Barack

Good heavens! The alternative is horrible. Of course, I will support Barack Obama for President of the United States of America!! I can't imagine how a supporter of Hillary Clinton could take even the slightest chance on having McCain win. We can't be obtuse about this. McCain - temperamental, known for his blow-ups; major McCain supporter, billionaire Carl, H. Lindner, Jr., is CEO of Chiquita Internatl. who paid $1.7 billion to Colombian paramilitary known to the USA as a terrorist organization; read about McCain's involvement in Keating 5 scandals; McCain record of voting against bills to help veterans raises serious questions of his dedication to veterans. I could go on and on. No to 4 or 8 more years. Yes to Obama.

...not to mention the potential Supreme Court appointees

If there were only one reason not to vote McCain, it would be that he says he will appoint justices like Roberts and Alito. 'Nuff said--I will vote for Obama. And really, does McCain think the women who supported Hillary are so STUPID as to vote for him just because he nominated a woman for VP? Palin is no Hillary Clinton!

I will not vote for McCain

However, I will only vote for Obama if I think my vote would make a difference in his carrying North Carolina. This could change by election day if it becomes clearer what his positions are, what issues really drive him, i.e. health care. If he is going to lose NC, I won't give him an extra vote because I do not believe he is up to the job and he has sold himself in ways that do reflect whom he really is.

Good for you! But please

Good for you! But please take throwing the Bush rascals out of office one more step and vote for Obama. Obama has spelled out his positions very clearly everywhere but FOX, who have their own nasty alternative reality going. Don't fall for FOX's propaganda

Your vote will ALWAYS make a

Your vote will ALWAYS make a difference! You know that staying with your party is essential to helping to get this country back on track, so vote for Barack and rest assured.

Experience vs. Inexperience

If Obama wins I think his presidency will be just as ineffective as Jimmy Carter's was due to lack of experience. I'd like to know what legislation, what change Obama has been able to accomplish during his term as a state senator. None. And that's what'll happen in Washington if he's elected. A lot of great speeches, alot of getting people pepped up about change, but then nothing. Lest we forget, there are other state senators and congressmen that he will have to work with in order to put forth any agenda and he just doesn't have a network or history of working with any of these people to fall back on. Part of the problem with the current administration has been Bush's lack of experience, which ultimately contributed to him making poor choices for his administration. His members of the administration have also caused a lot of problems. I think Obama will do the same thing. I would have voted for Hillary, but now I'll vote for McCain. I'd rather have someone with a working network, established relationships with the other senators and congressmen, and is known to world leaders.

Sounds like B.S. to me

So while you spent all that time talking about lack of experience you have not named one thing that McCain is experienced in other than networking. If you are a Democrat then you should support your party regardless of who is running...and when you say that you wont it makes me think that its deeper than experience.

i agree bs

John McCain will not have to use all his valuable networking experience and relationships that his has developed because he is not going to change anything. So it's all going to waste and is useless. What's the point? At least with Mr.Obama there is a chance of a change. Do all these people really want to continue the same path. They want higher prices and lower stocks and less jobs and war and a bad economy? And what else? Yeah that's a good thing to want more of. Please make it worse for me. Yes anyone who was going to support Ms. Clinton should support Mr. Obama. If they don't they are just cutting of their nose to spite their face. It would be like a sore loser and bad sportsmanship. Obama is much closer to what they want and what Clinton wanted.
