What do you think of the Brett Favre situation? Should he have come back or stayed retired? Are the Jets a good fit?

Play Brett play!

Brett should start over Rodgers all day. He's our best chance to win. Period. Go Favre and Packers!!

Play Bret play!

What ever happened to letting a young person have his day in the limelight? Brett has had his day. He is getting too old to play football. I think he just can't take it that he is getting older. I, for one, hope that Aaron Rodgers is the starting quarterback. That is the only way I will pull for the packers. Brett is such a jerk. He is also a drama queen. Look at the drama involved in him coming out of retirement. The packers have really hurt their image by allowing Brett to return under any other circumstances other than starting at the bottom of the ladder again and working his way up. That is how everyone starts a new job. As far as I am concerned he is starting over again.

Bret

I would use him as a back up since Roger was hired or given the job as the starting quarterback wince Bret retired. It is well known that Bret is likely to be the best Qarterback or the two but he retired and his replacement was given the job.

I totally agree

I totally agree with Bret. He should be the back up and have to start from the bottom again. He retired, pretty much quit, so it should be perceived that he is starting a new job. I think his salary should reflect a starter as well. Why is he getting paid so much money when he is for the most part a starter? God knows the man is already rich enough. Lets face it! He knows he is getting older, so he is out to prove he is not old. Someone needs to tell him that everyone gets older. Shame on the Packers for taking him back.

Brett is so selfish and seeking attention

I don't think the packers should have allowed him to come back to play. The man retired. When you retire, you retire!!! I feel bad for Aaron Rodgers. Now he has to compete with a man who has played football for many years. I would wager that Brett gets his old job back right away. I am so tired of athletes who retire changing their minds. To me they are self centered and egotistical. Brett has some issues. He wants attention and this is the way to get it. Look at how long he took to come out of retirement. It was so dramatic. He was offered a job in PR with the packers for 20 million dollars over ten years. How much more money does the man need? I think he should have given Aaron Rodgers a chance to "shine", but no, he had to make sure he got back the attention he so craves. For that reason, I will not pull for the packers this year. I pulled for them some last year especially in the playoffs, but they made a serious mistake taking Brett back. He is such a jerk!

Boo hoo Brett!

I am slightly disappointed in Brett. If he wasn't ready to retire from the game of football, he should have stayed where he was. Now that he has been reinstated with the NFL, I think the Packers should trade him to another team. Hey, it worked for Jerry Rice several years ago. Brett shouldn't be so self-centered. When are the other QBs gonna get chances to lead the Packers? Brett has broken any record possible and is a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame. Enough is a enough.

Favre is being selfish here,

Favre is being selfish here, what is he thinking- he's bigger than the team and the game itself?!!!!! He definitly wants to take a shot at the Packers organization, a little revenge is what he has in mind. Don't understand how someone would want to tarnish their own legacy by insisting on playing with a division rival and wanting to ensure whatever team it is he's traded to,that they play against the packers at some point during the season. I don't think it's an issue over aaron rodgers, I think ol' brett is still steamin' fom the perceived slights of seasons past. Remember his comments to the press during the headcoach searches and concerning personnel acquisitions? He always felt the higher-ups weren't listening to him. (i.e javon walker holdout,"I want randy moss", "if sherman goes I go" etc.)
I'm not a Packers fan but, I used to be a fan of Favre. BUT NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THE GAME!
Brett's got something to prove to the packers and it's in BAD TASTE!

The Brett Farve situation

The Brett Farve situation never crosses my mind, except to wonder why we're given to read about so many trivial things when other topics of much greater import are so infrequently discussed.

Brett Farve

If it never crosses your mind, why are you WASTING your time posting a comment? I have opinions about Brett Farve's situation also; most of them have already been posted....but don't play 'holier than thou' and say you aren't interested.

Thumbs up for Brett Favre

I think Brett Favre is one in a million and Ted Thompson is a dime a dozen. I think I might have a t-shirt made that says Ted Thompson should be benched, traded, or fired. What kind of corporate MIS-manager chooses one (or more) quarterbacks that clearly do not play as well as the one (Favre) that he wants to replace? --------------------And here's a heads up for the sports marketing people: I would buy a Favre shirt, cap, jersey, etc. REGARDLESS of what team he plays for.
