This is worrisome as he's a

This is worrisome as he's a pretty well respected, well known Christian leader. Maybe it was a slip up or something out of the ordinary, but one can't help but wonder if he talks like that about everyone he disagrees with...  Is he sorry he made the comments or sorry the mic was on? I guess that's always the question.

If what Obama said is true, that black males need to take more responsibility, etc, then Jackson is totally in the wrong both in his opposition and the way he expressed it. I don't have any data to compare with Obama's statements in order to verify, but I guess that's what we need in order to assess the former. I think all would agree he was wrong (and childish) in the way he expressed it.

Jessie jackson is envious of

Jessie jackson is envious of the fact that Sen. Obama is a viable presidential candidate.

Our Dirty Laundry...

The real issue is the unilateral decline of all America, and Rev. Jackson is just another example of why "CHANGE" is so critical to our national future. I think Jessie Jackson III condemnation of his own father over this shameless dig is the real story. Senator Obama is right about the state of the black males and the urgency of addressing this issue. We can not look away at what blacks have done to themselves in addition to the systematic racism of nepotism that hurt others. Bill Cosby has been pointing this issue out as well. The baton has already passed to Obama from that generation politicians - I only hope that others do it with better grace and dignity. Our world is about coalition building and Obama is showing how a new day is dawning.

Obama is Right

Many black males seem equate manhood to a number, number of children out of wedlock and the number of women they have had. Many black males who have fathered children never pay one penny toward that child's support and moral support is simply unknown to them. It is tragic for the child, for the community the child lives and the County.

Umm..no, but thanks for playing.

Power stuggles amoung

Power stuggles amoung minorities are never pretty. I am surprised he is not busy rasing his illegitamate children to comment on such things??

Exactly!!! As soon as I

Exactly!!! As soon as I heard the comment, I said as long as Jesse is paying his child support, he shouldn't be upset!! I am just appauled at how much we want to unite around other issues that support Blacks (whether right or wrong) and we can not get together to support I first black Democratic nominee??? Jesse is Jealous!!

I remember years back when

I remember years back when Jackson did the same thing - talked into an open mike he thought was turned off. That time he called Jews "Hymies" and offended many, many people. I guess he didn't learn his lesson. He was a Christian then and he's a Christian now. Hypocrisy comes to mind. I think he must be green with envy that Barack Obama is the Democratic candidate for the presidency of the US. An accomplishment he never did achieve.

This is good news for Obama

This is good news for Obama campaign. Obama enjoys wide support in part because he is not another Jessie Jackson, whom many regard as bellicose and divisive. Jackson's attack will earn Obama more credence with the general electorate.

Obama and Jackson both are

Obama and Jackson both are stupid. The Dem's will not win, as Jackson's comments point out that not all blacks like Obama. Many don't like to see a "brother get ahead".
