Nominate Your Company for Western Wake 100

| | | | | | |

What are the 100 most influential companies in western Wake County? Cary Business Magazine – from S&A Cherokee, publisher of Cary Magazine – will unveil this special list in its 2008 issue and at a special event celebrating these important organizations. The 2008 issue of Cary Business Magazine is scheduled for publication in September.

While some of the Western Wake 100 may be obvious, readers will find a few surprises on the list. Large employers in Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina and RTP are a good bet, but don’t count out family businesses, niche manufacturers and suppliers, and nonprofit organizations.

“We’re interested in finding out what companies in western Wake County command the most respect and admiration,” said Bill Zadeits, publisher. “This list will not be a ranking, but a compilation of what we feel are truly the most influential companies in this region.”

To assemble this inaugural list, S&A Cherokee solicited nominations from local chambers of commerce and influential business leaders. The nominations span the spectrum of almost every business category imaginable, from banks and law firms to health care and high tech. Cary Business Magazine’s editorial staff will then undertake the arduous process of selecting what they believe are the most influential among the nominees. Although the process is not scientific and sure to generate passionate discussions, that just speaks to the wealth of important companies in the area.

In addition to revealing the Western Wake 100 in Cary Business Magazine, S&A Cherokee is planning an elegant, exclusive networking event to recognize the winners and their employees. Final details of this special event will be announced in the near future.

“We look forward to building on this year’s success and creating an annual Western Wake 100 media buzz and special event every year,” added Zadeits. “It will be interesting to see what companies supplant past winners through their recent successes.”

While this year’s list is near completion, companies may still nominate themselves by sending an e-mail to bzadeits@sacherokee.com.
