I am sure that A.C. Snow will be glad to help you make sense of the language. Just ask!
Uh, since doesn't make sense. I think spell check is numbing our senses. Thanks for the work you do. Check and verify:)
I can't believe the use of since instead of sense made it into publication. Whatever happened to editors?
It should be "no sense". This is really an embarrassing mistake, in my humble opinion. I almost spilled my morning coffee when I saw this error. That no one caught it is shocking.
I was appalled to open the op ed page and read your cartoon this morning. The use of an incorrect word, in this case "since" when it should have been "sense" by the higher level editorial staff of our newspaper is totally unacceptable. I can accept that mistakes do happen, but was there no one proof reading this work? Who is in charge over there? What a great example this sets for all of our school children. I hope they stick with the comics.
Shouldn't 'No since keeping' be 'No sense keeping', or is that all nonsense?
Yes, sadly the cartoon on the editorial page that began, "No since..." should have read "No sense...", but we have to remember how many times over the years we have had to lower the bar in all aspects of society so we can be diverse and feel good about ourselves. I feel good! It could have read, "No cents..."! The News & Observer obviously has a well educated, diverse editorial staff with high self esteem. And after all, what's more important than that?
I enjoy your cartoons, but but agree with the previous comment. Spelling mistakes are really distracting. Does someone check for this kind of error?
P. Cunningham beat me to this! "No since keeping these..."?How in the world could you misspell this word?
May 11th Cartoon...
Since? Since?
Shirley, you jest!
