Sophomore Wins Congressional Arts Award

Alec Clott, a sophomore at Ravenscroft, received second place in the Congressional Arts Competition for the Fourth District/ Congressman David Price.

Alec's digital photograph, "A Slight Nod" will be displayed in Congressman Price's Washington, D.C., office for one year.

Alec also received a certificate in recognition of his excellent work and the framing of his photograph.

On April 28, Alec, his mother, stepfather, and teacher Ms. Joyce Fillip attended the opening in the office of the United Arts Council of Raleigh. Remarks were given by Helga Leftwich, Chairwoman of the United Arts Council, and the presentation of awards was made by Congressman David Price.
