·        Graphics assistant to produce posters, fliers, brochures, announcements, invitations for a history museum

·        Help establish and coordinate a volunteer program for a growing museum dedicated to serving the community through programs, exhibits and volunteer opportunities. Working knowledge of computers/email and people person. 5-8 hours a week to start. One monthly meeting. Hillsborough or Chapel Hill.

·        Program volunteer to assist in enabling participants to remain active members of the community. (1) Assist with conducing daily program quarterly or monthly, M-F 10:45 am-11:30 am or 3:15 pm-4:00 pm. (2) Present a 30-minute program yourself by sharing a talent or interest-songs, birding, trains. Once a week, 1 to 4 hours. Chapel Hill

·        Classes have started and walkers are needed! Volunteers to assist in providing riding lessons. Lead horse for one hour and lend support to children and young adults in therapeutic riding program (Nick’s Road, west of Chapel Hill). Experience in riding or handling horses not required. Select from four 8-week sessions annually, M-F. Also looking for volunteer coordinator.

·        Extension service in Hillsborough needs volunteers to take a 3-hour shift to greet the public, help with mailings and the telephones between 8-5.
