When an inmate is held on any prison camp in the state it is hard for them to believe God is working in their lives. Take an inmate who was in the church, worked hard at a job as well as in the community. How would they feel about their community and faith in God? How would you keep the faith or even show someone that God really matters in their lives? For a person who has been mistreated by their community and by the legal system, should they look to the community for support or write everyone off as liars, back biters, or fake people of God. Sure it is written, who is without sin cast the first stone, love thy neighbor as thy self or do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Which one do you use in your life, because if a person does all these things daily, then why are we lying about what someone else may or may not have done to someone knowing that we are doing stuff ourselves.

We rather tell lies on someone who knows what illegal stuff we are doing so to keep all eyes off us. Some people will throw a family member under the bus so to speak just to force a matter against someone. Just pray when this happens that the person being used this way doesn’t get God’s full judgment. Now the one sitting in prison is left without a hope of ever knowing a better life for them or their family ever again. They may feel, why should they support or become an outstanding member of a community that has already labeled them and branded them for life. As taxpayers, well rather pay billions of dollars per year plus a bonus check for those inmates serving over two years.

Some are taken from working, supporting a household, paying taxes, etc. to having everything handed to them. If a person is going from keeping their own household up to being kept up where is the real punishment in this legal system? The real punishment should be totally different now in this time and the way the economy is going. There are some crimes which prisons are needed for, murder, rape and hurting a child under the age of 14. The others should be placed on house arrest with the person serving it paying most of the cost for how ever many years the court would have placed them in prison as a ward of the state. Anyway you look at it, greed may play a big part in everything. Look at food prices, gas, taxes and the people we vote into office. As just a regular employee in the job market, do you set your hourly pay? If you don’t, then where do our voted in leaders get the right to set there salary. When they are voted into office, we should set their salary like those living on less than $25 thousand a year. That would cut a lot of wasted time and money going to those we vote into office.

If they were to clock in and clock out, no pay for days off, no overtime pay and a tax rate like the one the poor and middle class pays. How would they see their top of the world jobs with voters setting the salaries and raises? Look at food prices! This problem is caused by those we place in office. Our people we vote into office pay the farmers not to plant their fields. This happens to a point where food prices go up all over the state. Why are we not growing more produce in all areas of the state along with all the other crops? That is just us paying more tax dollars instead of growing more food to bring high prices down. Tax money should be used to help a farmer buy the plants and seeds to plant a field not leave it unused. These are just a few things that we can also do to cut cost along with going green.
