This plant, Oenothera speciosa, although very lovely when blooming in masses of pink flowers, I wish I had heeded the words of a wise woman at the plant farm where I purchased it. It has an underground root system and self-seeds prolifically. I gave some plants to my neighbor and to my dismay, in one season it has crept under my fence and invaded my flower beds.
