RALEIGH, N.C. (April 9, 2008) -- Phil Kirk, vice president for external relations at Catawba College, public speaker and consultant, will be the featured guest at the Stanly Community College wine seminar this Thursday, April 10 at Dennis Vineyards in Albemarle. Kirk will deliver a talk on the economic impact of the wine and grape industry in North Carolina.

During the event, participants will also have the opportunity to take a historical tour of the Vineyard, participate in a wine tasting and obtain a souvenir event glass.

“The Stanly Community College Small Business Center is delighted to have Phil Kirk join us during the event,” says Kathy Almond, director of the Small Business Center at Stanly Community College. “His insight will provide a statewide perspective, and we appreciate him coming and sharing his time and wealth of knowledge.”
