Wake County: Future school growth

|

Wake County school leaders are asking four primary questions to help guide their planning for future school growth, including whether new elementary schools should open on the year-round or traditional calendar and whether they should continue trying to reduce the percentage of elementary students in mobile classrooms to 8 percent.

 Other questions are:

-- Should enrollment projections be based on those developed in November after earlier ones had overestimated this year's enrollment?

-- Should Wake try to fill schools at 95 or 97.5 percent of capacity instead of the current goal of 100 percent?
