So my single friends have been discussing the book "He's Just Not That Into You" and it got me wondering. Am I the only woman to ever want to ask a guy out? Is that such a terrible thing? If a guy doesn't ask you out does that mean he's not into you? I've wanted to ask guys out but all my friends thought I was crazy. Was I? Guys, if a chick you know asks you out, is that a turn on or a turn off? Anyone out there had any experience with anything like this?
When I was in college I was asked out by a girl on a couple of occasions and I always felt flattered. To a lot of guys, confidence is just as important as physical looks in determining how attractive a woman is, and since asking a man out requires confidence, it instantly makes you look more attractive.
As for the whole "He's not into you" thing, that is one of several reasons he might not have asked yet. There's an easy way to find out: Ask him out and see whether he says yes or no.
As for your friends telling you it's weird to ask a man out, I hope they have fun living in the 1950s!
