I'll bet the NSA's Electronic Communications Spike Indicator Machine
went into HIGH ALERT! CODE RED! Mode when word of the VAN HALEN crisis
hit Raleigh like the contagious flu bug when everyone logged on to
their communicators.
Ticketmaster, RBC Center, N&O, Radio, TV, all over the internet,
Live Nation, Email, Friends, Calls, and even my mother.
Yes yes, I know. The Brother's have canceled, er, postponed.
"Eddie has issues": I wonder if those issues are:
He's either back on the horse or back on the horse because his x-wife,
Valerie Bertinelli, went on Opra and said she was doing Steven Spielberg
while married to Eddie. (Val still didn't get the movie part with
Spielberg.)
NC has gotten two events in this latest run but two other, wilder preceded
those when VH played their World Tour at Carter-Finley Stadium in 1979 and
in Reynolds Coliseum for the 1984 Tour; remain seated though, the ride is
still moving.

STEVE WHITEMAN, front man for KIX, who told the story about opening for
Van Halen and David Lee Roth told Steve to stop kicking ass and being wild
on stage because he, Diamond Dave did that, not the opening act.
Steve said, "F#$K YOU! Kicked the crowds ass again that night and got
booted off the tour. (You notice the openers VH is having on this latest
round: lame.)
Steve is in town this Saturday night with his new band FUNNY MONEY, which
played years ago at Lake Boone Country Club, playing at VOLUMN 11 at 8:00pm with Automag and Changeface. http://www.myspace.com/volume11tavern I've got my ticket.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If VAN HALEN would have canceled earlier maybe I could have gotten a
ticket to the Three Days Grace Show before it Sold Out in Greensboro.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
And as David blogged, http://blogs.newsobserver.com/beat/index.php
after the Kid Rock show, Kid went to The Longbranch and for $25 to get
in, $50 to get within close Kid range, you too could have been a VIP.
(My concert ticket was only $47.00?!)
I said Kid Rock liked Raleigh, but that's generically since he and
Rev. Run were at Hot Heaven Bar-B-Q in Durham the night before the
RBC show.

Pay your Time Warner Cable Bill, it's going to a much better place:
"TIME WARNER CABLE MUSIC PAVILION AT WALNUT CREEK"
Or at least pay it before, Friday, April 25th since that is the first
show of what people are knowing will be a jacked-up up year in 2008.
It's a Wide Spread show, so Panic.

Have fun Friday? Do it again Saturday.

You've heard that tune where the chainsaw is played like an instrument?
JACKYL! is playing HOB, N. Myrtle Beach, Saturday, May 17th:
and it's the DOUBLE BILL, they're playing with THE GEORGIA SATELLITES!
"Keep Your Hands To Yourself" and my favorite: "Battleship Chains".
You got me tied down with battleship chains
Fifty foot long and a two ton anchor
Rooms are still cheap in May, so do the Weekend because the night
before, May 16th, ACE FREHLEY is at HOB!
