Ravenscroft to Host NCISAA Basketball State Championships

Ravenscroft will be the host site for the 2008 NCISAA State Championships. The 3-A quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will be at the School on Thursday, Feb. 21 – Saturday, Feb. 23. The 1-A and 2-A finals will also be played at the School on Saturday, Feb. 23.

 

The boys’ tournaments will feature some of the state’s top prospects including 1-A Word of God’s John Wall and C. J. Leslie; 2-A Charlotte Victory Christian’s Eladio Espinosa (South Florida signee); and 3-A Christ School’s Miles Plumlee (Stanford signee) and Mason Plumlee; Charlotte Christian’s Seth Curry (Liberty signee); Charlotte Latin’s David Chadwick; and Ravenscroft’s Ryan Kelly.

 

The 1-A tournaments will include 16 teams, and the 2-A and 3-A tournaments will include 12 teams. The first-round games will be played at the higher seeds on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Seeding will be determined on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Thursday admission is $5, Friday admission is $7, and Saturday admission is $10. A complete game schedule follows.
