I live in Beaufort and fly a small Cessna 150 from the Michael J. Smith airport here. I do historical restoration woodwork and over the past two years I commuted to Virginia by plane while building the Distillery at Mount Vernon. I often take photos as I fly using a Nikon D 70….really just point and shoot out the window. I plan on putting some more aerial shots up soon. I love to fly here on the outer banks, it is another world from the air. Have not flown much in the peidmont area....but maybe I should make a few trips.

I love the aerial photos you've posted. Do you have any from over the piedmont, in particular any aerial photos of Occoneechee Mountain? That would be really cool, afterall it is a well-known landmark for pilots flying over central NC too.
