Use this space to tell people what you are thankful for during Thanksgiving 2007.
Yesterday, we learned that my mom's tumors had been reduced in size - one, almost to non-existence - by her cancer treatments. Due to new developments in cancer research and treatments, my mom very likely will not be overcome by this disease - Stage IV metastatic breast cancer - for many years to come! I am grateful for more time with her!
For News & Observer
I am thankful this Thanksgiving for having the opportunity to write on Triangle.com. Moving here over one year ago, the first thing I did was try and locate a newspaper that would match the New York Times. I just love reading the News & Observer. I get it delivered to my home. Sometimes, an issue may not be on my doorstep in the morning. If you call the N & O they will come and hand deliver the missed copy to you the same day. Now that's service! Of course, with the gas prices, one must consider the the newspaper folks who deliver a missed paper.
I am thankful for free speech, my life, my health, my senior age, my dogs, my children and grandchildren, the sun, blue skies, rainbows, food in my belly, my car, my work, warm blankets, the ability to see, being human, realizing other people make mistakes like me, and to have lived a full life.
