Mall Woes

drillerdave

We decided to visit Triangle Town Centre this past weekend. We were enjoying the sites as usual. Trying on clothes, looking at new releases of books, dvds, etc. When suddenly I spun around and my wife had vanished. I waited for a while and then retraced my steps to find her.

She had been grabbed by a salesman for Seacret products. I knew right off the bat that she was being kept against her will. She is polite when most aren't and I needed to come to her rescue.

I swung the stroller towards the salesman and quickly looped around the wife, all the while muddering "Lets go!". I had taken a few steps passed my wife when I heard the gut wrenching, "Sir, Sir, allow me to show you..". I begin to roll my eyes very casually, while preparing an excuse as to why we wouldn't be able to purchase their product.

Suddenly, I spun around to greet the salesman and fell immediately for his unique appearance. He was very smooth talking and easy to trust initially. Before I knew it, I had rubbed moisturerizer into my cracked sand paper hands. He began to rant about the product when I started to grow tired of his approach.

My wife was busy taking advantage of the trial nail polisher. I had to admit that was pretty neat. A few swipes on the nail and it appeared very shiny.

The salesman tried to sell my wife a beauty kit for $70. I explained that we have neccessities that need purchasing before we even start to look at purchasing something like his offer. He then proceeded to feed us a hook on how much of a great deal it would be. Eventually he went to $60 and then $30 for half the kit.

We finally broke away from his hypnotic speech and trotted away without any Seacret kit and the heavy aroma of multiple scents radiating from our palms. I whispered to my wife that I needed to find a bathroom and cleanse these hands with good old fashioned water from the tap.

Three minutes later and two hands that smelled of ocean mist scent we begin out departure from the Mall.

My wife and I made a pack, that no sales person would interupt our day any longer. We will carefully avoid any and all center displays while walking through the aisles of the mall.

Good Day
