ILLEGAL ALLIENS - somebody did something against the law to get hear and I'm suposed to be tollerant of them? I suppose if the brought illegal drugs with them I'm supposed to tollerate that too??? Liberal ***tards asking questions againg trying to make everone feel guilty. these people are fleeing from socialist countries and the liberals are trying to make us into socialistas and they are trying to make us feel sorr for these people. these people oughta stay were they were are fight for their country back from their own socialists!!
I am appalled at what is going on. I am absolutely against illegal aliens entering this state and country. It sends a signal to our young that it is okay to do things illegally. It also sends a bad message to our aliens that came here legally. Our schools and hospitals are not able to keep up with what is going on. If you feel sorry for these people go over to the countries they are coming from (like Mexico) and try and help them there in their country. Help the country with better pay, better government and better housing. Work over there to improve things. But do not allow illegal aliens here. Let them work towards becoming legal.
If illegals want to go to college, they can go back to their own country and get a degree there. We need to educate Americans. And we need to obey the laws.
Jennifer Rudinger, exe. director, of the ACLU-NC, an organization who actively protests combining church and state, was standing at this rally holding a tolerance sign. It is unclear if she was there merely as an individual or for her secular organization. One minister lambasted ICE for denying "people" the right to worship at churches of their choice by using church grounds as places to round-up illegal aliens. He said, "they (that is, the illegals) are here and they should be allowed to worship because they're here." I would like to know if he, this minister, ever locks his church? For such a practice would shoot down his arguments. As locked churches represent: no one has an absolute right to worship--just because they're here.
Yes, I'm intolerant of Illegals. What kind of logically flawed question is that?
How can you be "Tolerant" of illegal behavior/action?
Should we be "tolerant" of other illegal behavior/actions?
Tolerant of Murders?
Tolerant of Rapes?
Tolerant of Robbery?
First off, I don't agree that tolerance or intolerance are
inherently good nor bad. The same applies to predjudice and
profiling. These words describe practices that actually distiguish us from the beasts - the ability to apply past experiences to predict future probability. If this paper's
question is, "Are we becoming more tolerant of illegal behavior?", I would answer, undeniably, "Yes".
I would categorize the attempt to blend illegal behavior
(as in illegal aliens) with the legal behavior of legal
aliens as unscrupulous, too. It is also un-American and
truly damaging to our "culture".
We have become more intolerant of illegal aliens, but not "as a culture" as is falsely posited in the original question.
It is quite simply a matter of too many elephants in the living room to ignore. Too much new crime, too many new burdens on schools and human services, too much erosion of established culture (however one wishes to characterize established culture), too many arrogant demands for rights that don't exist, and too much erosion of the working class wage base. And as the economy continues to implode, look for the intolerance to rise. It may be unpleasant, but a look at history says that it is an inevitable and natural sociological, political. and economic process and all the temper tantrums in the world from El Pueblo et al. will not alter that reality.
What an insane question to even ask.
Should we be tolerant of people who break other laws? If so, which ones?
Immigration is a proud part of our history, but it needs to be legal and orderly.
People who sneak into this country may be criminals, they may carry illnesses that are not vaccinated for in their home countries. They may also be hardworking perfectly nice people who want a better life. But if they come here illegally, they are breaking the law and that is not something that we should be tolerant of.
If we need more legal immigration, fine. Work to change those laws, increase the number of visas, whatever. But don't insult average citizens (or the millions of legal immigrants) by suggesting that those that came here illegally should be treated as if they did not.
I have been trying to figure out why we as a society have become so intolerant of Latino Immigrants. We have gone to the extreme that even legal immigrants are viewed with suspicion and have a difficult time assimilating into society. Many fear they will be caught up in the racism permeating our society.
Having grown up in an area, which drew immigrants from many different cultures, I witnessed discrimination toward the latest groups over the years. There was usually an excuse given for this discrimination; such as, they are a burden on the system, do not speak English, are the source of most of the recent crime, etc.
For those of you who compare coming into this country illegally to committing murder, rape and other serious crimes, I do hope you have never told a lie in your life or 'borrowed' something from work or you are no different. Given the same circumstances, I think few of us wouldn't do the same thing to give our family a better life.
When people say they should come here legally, they have no concept of what it costs for these immigrants to obtain a visa. If they had the thousands of dollars needed just to apply and then wait years to be turned down, there wouldn't be a need to come here.
tolerance of illegals
We should not tolerate illegals in our country, just as any other country. They must go back home. But they should not be mistreated or abused. Employers who employ an illegal should be fined, even if they didn't know they were illegal and if they know they are illegal, their business should be shut down for 3 months.
