Good instincts

That is a striking composition. The horizontal bands of color, from top to bottom, are especially pleasing. Seems so peaceful, so tranquil, even the tree felt like resting.

Is this somewhere local?

How well does this work for

How well does this work for breast cancer: Grade 3, no lymph involvement, 3- centimeter tumor, no cancer in margins, 5% ER positive, Her-2/neu negative, ductile?
Can this test, performed on the tumor and tissue that was removed 8/1/08 give me any more info than we already have as regards treatment?
I've been told it's 3-4 thousand dollars set of 20 tests.

how to find a good nanny

Here is a website that gives a run-down of the difference between a nanny & an au pair, what might work for you, and how to find someone.
It helped me

It's hard to NOT look at a B&W- I always want to know what's there, and imagine why presented as a monotone. Thanks!

whiskey still

I'm thinking this one here by comparison will look quite primitive, almost barbaric. If I had known about this whiskey still being there beforehand I think I might have considered bringing along the gnomes for a well-staged mug shot.

Oooh, gnomes at a whiskey still - perfect !! Printed and edited just right, these might make an amusing greeting card to send by post too.

Small starts can reap big rewards

This is some great news! While these children are here in the Triangle area it might not be a bad idea to treat them all to some ice cream at Maple View Farm Country Store in southern Orange County just across from Maple View Farm. Beside great ice cream there is some really beautiful scenery I think these children could all identify with too. And if they are all fit and able, a few outings to Eno River State Park or similar places might not be such a bad idea either.

Sandy Feat

Just a footnote: Ed Moore, a Raleigh architect and award-winning sand sculptor of the Triangle-based sand-sculpting group called Sandy Feat has been sculpting sand art for quite a few years now and travels to festivals all over the country. By the end of the 29th Annual Festival for the Eno on Sunday he and his accomplice should have completed this dragonfly sculpture.

Butterflies and Dragonflies

Just thought I would add this -- In the July 5, 2008 edition of the News & Observer on page 10d in the Home & Garden section there is an excellent full page feature on the artists who created these, Casey and Emily Lewis of Burlington who own and operate Beechwood Metalworks at 3222 N. N.C. 49, Burlington - open from 8am - 5pm weekdays and online at www.beechwoodmetalworks.com

By the way, this News & Observer feature article is another good example of the types I like seeing in print - all on one page, well documented and a clip & save article at that, too. Kudos to Diane Daniel (correspondent) and Juli Leonard (staff photographer) for assembling a work well done!

I am the Executive Director

I am the Executive Director of a NFP organization in Cary named Christian Community In Action. I was very excited to hear of your upcoming event educating us on getting our stories in the media. However when I checked my calendar I found out I had already enrolled in a grant writing class at Wake Tech the same day. Is there any literature associated with this event that could be helpful to me? If so I would appreciate and be willing to pay for it. My phone number is 919 469 1351 ext. 108. Blessings and best wishes for a successful seminar.
