Sizing

The preview size is 470 pixel wide by 500 pixels tall presently, although at one time it was larger. Edited vs. unedited might make a good topic to post in the photo forum or to just tag onto a catch-all thread I started which doesn't need any rhym or theme just to keep it going. The photo forum has been so slow for so long now, all one has to do is check for updated dates to know someone has posted in it.

Anyway, here's a link to save for that catch-all thread if its ever needed;

Where's your reflection?

I don't see any trace of you reflected in the globe. Did you employ a specific technique, or is the image just "busy" enough to disguise the cameraman?

editing and resizing

Thanks for the helpful reply. I guess I didn't know about resizing. I just saw that I can do something in paint. Any suggestions? How do you know what to size you need, trial and error?

I also had not thought about the issue of edited vs not. I'm new here. Would this be a good forum topic?

Gardenia

Darker? I haven't noticed that as much but one thing I do notice is the preview images are quite fuzzy here when this site resizes them. If I resized mine beforehand to the exact size of the preview (or smaller) I can get a crisp picture but the details are microscopic. If I upload an unedited full-sized version (3.1 mpx on a 6.0 mpx viewing area), I can see plenty of details in the downloaded original, although somewhat fuzzy because of the 3.1 on 6 ratio my antique camera has at max (plenty good enough for 8x10 prints and bordering on 16x20's) but the previews here are really fuzzy. If I resize my picture no camera information gets sent with the image (which means it was edited in some way), but if I send the original unedited version the camera info stays with the photo so people will know the image wasn't altered in any way. So its a toss-up which way to go...
