Several interesting items if you want to pursue: Where do they get the dogs, percentage rehomed, death records should also be public domain with the NC Department of Agriculture. And they should be inspected by DOA, so should be interesting. Their patented response is to "rest assured" the "research dogs" (minimize their value) are fine. I'm always alert when a the head of a CVM says
"rest assured"...don't drink their "koolaide"...think additional research and facts are warrented.

Wake County Animal Center Hot House

I witnessed shelter dogs in great distress throughout the summer of 2007. We are the voice of the voiceless. The public needs to keep an eye on Wake Animal Center...to be sure they keep making positive changes for the animals. Apathy means pain for the shelter dogs.

I can only hope we have a very mild summer. Last year, that month straight of 100+ degrees was horrible, even if you had a cushy home and air conditioning. The shelters were miserable, I am sure.

Bad Mood that Day

Okay, I was in a bad mood thursday. The blog software wasn't working in Firefox for days so I finally opened Internet Explorer. I posted another blog entry about Omaha and that seems to have disapeared.

I got an email from a company that I buy thread from over the Internet and at the end he had a message stating that he was only going to say Merry Christmas etc and that was that. I just don't get it. If you have a business that is International, don't you want to include all your customers. It is just crazy. I told him that I may not buy from him anymore.
