I have never been able to get my camera this close to a fly without it buzzing off - well done! ...and another thing I have not been able to do is figure out, when a fly lands upon the ceiling does it do a half turn or a half roll?

I'm glad you like this photo. It was overcast, but still a good day to take in the colors of the season. Got lucky capturing this pose with the boys, they tend to ham it up too much.

I know this spot well as I have also taken my kids out there on more than a few occasions. Looks like you captured the autumn scenery quite well despite the recent weather's negative impact upon some of the leaves - seems our area has a bit too many barren spots in many of the trees but on a cloudy or overcast day its hard to tell when photographing the scenery from within the forests like this scene you captured. Great photo!

It was really creepy walking in there... 75 outside, almost 20 degrees cooler inside. LOVE the old buildings you usually can't get into that easily. Luckily I had an escort that knew the property well!

Thank-you for the information.Its funny because Mom is from Ct and she was telling me that when when she was in high school her school actually went to some of these places on a field trip you mentioned.One of her favorite places to see was the Salem Museum,the witches and such.My grandparents live in Old Lyme Ct and also know of these places.Thank-you again.

Hi Lilly, Here is the website for Walden Pond: http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/walden/index.htm While in Massachusetts we (a Student Literary group from Johnston Community College) visited the Minute Man National Historical Park and walked over the North Bridge where the "First shot heard around the world" was heard (the American Revolution began in 1775.), the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House were she wrote "Little Women", The House of the Seven Gables that Nathaniel Hawthorn wrote about, Emerson's Memorial House, the Concord Museum, and the Salem Witch Museum. We shopped in Salem, Boston, and New York City on our way back to NC. I feel sure you and your family would enjoy traveling through New England especially in October. We all had a great time.
