Great capture! You sure picked a wonderful location for capturing a shot of all this recent snow. I was looking for a good location that morning myself but it never crossed my mind to get a shot from a bridge spanning a river such as the Neuse. The best I could come up with was a shot zoomed through the branches of several trees, one behind the other, but the photo looked a bit too overly abstract at first glance and did not have the element of depth as yours does.

Lilly, you got a much better camera than I have so I know you will do good. I found if I use the sports mode I can get better pictures of birds in action.

photos,I got a new camera and I am finally able to take action shots of birdsand like you and DBT52 I really enjoy taking phots of birds.Thank-you for sharing.

There is one solution to this problem but its not without its drawbacks. If you're using IE8 go to 'Tools' and select 'Internet Options', then select the Security tab. Once that window opens set your browser's sercurity at its highest rating and then hit the 'apply' button. Do this all before you go here. Then once here (after you login you'll be sent to the main Triangle.com page and you will need to hit the Share tab to get back here) you'll find this place loads tons faster and without all the ads either. Problem is you cannot vote and if any comments you want to type are any more than just a simple sentence or paragraph, then it will need to be typed out in raw html since the rich text does not work when browsing at high security. Kind of a pain I admit but it works and is especially good for fast browsing here. As for uploading pictures I have not tried that yet but I suspect the comments field would be in a non-rich text format as well.

Anyway, after you logout and leave then go back into your browser's tool menu and reset your security back to your default (or medium-high) and hit the apply button. This makes it so you wont be so limited at other websites. Hope this helps.

BTW, Are you having the same trouble with all the scripting in those expanding pop-out ads as I am? Personally I think this place would run MUCH better if they just had simple non-animated GIF ads (with good artwork) that simply linked to the sites they want to advertise - takes up much less CPUs to process and this place would also run a whole lot smoother and faster too. (Plus more folks would be more apt to click on user-friendly ads than those abnoxiously annoying ones!)

Mom bought some suet cakes for bluebirds today in hopes that I could capture pics of bluebirds,we had many but I wasn't ablt to get a good one.I also noticed that our bluebirds also fought ALOT.Good picture
