Matt Damon

I think Brad Pitt beats Johnny Depp any day. Matt Damon too. Look at this: http://images.askmen.com/galleries/model/matt-damon/pictures/matt-damon-picture-3.jpg

Why is it always a guy like Johnny Depp? Denzel Washington. Taye Diggs. Boris Kodjoe!

Coach K's needs to change

Coach K's needs to change with the times. Fast pace basketball is what people want to play. Players have to go to college for a year now so you would think he would take advantage of that. Very good players do not want to go to a system where you pass five times, set a bunch of picks,a nd shoot all three's. Plus, Coach K does not improve his players' skills at all. He completely destroyed Paulus's game and confience. Greg was an animal in high school and I know it from experience. But then he got to Duke and K tried to make him Wojo. LET THE PLAYERS PLAY!!!! Ask Calipari and Roy if a free system entices recruits. If he doesn't change his ways we will be left behind. Maybe, we need to get blown out a few more times in order for change to come. It's hard to watch Duke play. It is slow

UNC Recruits

Everytime I hear about a No. 1 High School player signing, I can't help but think about that kid from Virginia several years ago who signed with UNC and played both football and basketball. He was supposedly so good that great things were just assumed. Now, I can't even remember his name. He went on to play footbal with the Oakland Raiders as a tight end. Just goes to show you that, no matter how much hype they have coming in, it just doesn't always pan out. Nonetheless, it's more fun to sign them than to lose them to your rival.

It's simple. Players would rather play in the Dean Dome than in the Doan's Dome.

Maybe if K got some good big

Maybe if K got some good big men and stopped only recruiting guards and swing-men who fit his "system" he could have a better team and get better recruits too.

wow, sour grapes there. me

wow, sour grapes there. me first attitude? no defense? not running up the score? how about dook's coach first attitude? coach k has averaged more stars per kid than roy in recruiting and look what it has done for him. dook might want to work on improving the players they recruit instead of benching them when they don't come out of the gates blazing.

barnes knew if singler came back for his senior year, that he wouldn't get to play much as a freshman, and that's why he went with the heels!!

Defense

Both Roy and K stress defense, equally. Roy just really emphasizes beating the other team down the court, whereas that is not the primary weapon for K or was it for Dean, for that matter. K is more willing to use 3 point shots early, and Roy is more like Dean about pounding it inside first. Roy's game is to beat you down the court and score easier baskets before you can set a defense. You'd better have the horses to do it, and he gets them!

Barnes and school. The

Barnes and school. The point is, Barnes thinks he will get his business degree in three years, and he might. They say he is a very focussed person, and very determined. He wants to be a business tycoon after basketball.

I predict (and I don't think I'm going out on a limb much on this one) that UNC wins another national basketball title within the next three to four years!! Go Heels!!!!!!!

End of an era?

Coach Smith had a fairly long late-career run of very-good-but-not-great teams consistently overshadowed by Duke with its incredible run of national POYs -- Ferry, Hurley, Laettner, Hill, Battier, Williams, Brand. In addition, this period featured Carolina losing some heated recruiting battles to Duke. Grant Hill, in particular, was a player whose commitment to Duke seemed to signal a major change in the power structure.

Now it appears that Coach K is undergoing a very similar experience. Recent Duke teams have been good, not great, and he is missing on the recruits that he probably would have gotten during his heyday. As long as he is Duke's coach, they will be consistently good to very good; the question now is whether they can be great again.

K needs some Assistance(ts)

Dont put the blame on K for his assistants... OK yeah put the blame on him for hiring them. Wojo and Collins cant get it done... oh wait his son in law can?? no not him either... maybe n. james can? Steve Robinson and Roy are doing work on the recruiting trail, K and his boys are lost!!
