Droplet Flipped

This droplet was hanging from the bottom of one of many small orange light bulbs on a string used the night before to light the way for the little ones on their annual conquest for treats.

RE: Flipped Droplet

Thanks! Here I had been talking about taking a picture like this for about a year(?) and finally it crossed my mind to snap this photo when the opportunity was staring me in the face. Funny how things like this work!

By the way, my new avatar is a copy that came from a blog I visit quite often where lately this avatar and many others just like it are now being assigned to different readers comments with this one being assigned to all of my latest comments - I guess it makes for a quick way for the blogger to visually identify who is who at a glance. When I first saw my assigned avatar I really liked it -- in fact I liked it so much that after a few weeks of seeing it and not even beginning to grow weary of it I just had to adopt it for here too. :o)

No win situation

If you snitch you will get in trouble with the people who did the crime. If you don't others could get hurt. You can't win. Police don't keep you safe either way.

Snitch

We need people to tell law enforcement when they know something so we can get these animals off the streets. That kid in Chicago was beaten to death and it is on video and yet no one has been arrested. This makes no sense!

I agree with your

I agree with your assessment. I am impressed with his collaboration with Russia, which has been the ultimate goal of past presidents pre and post cold war. We will need all the collaboration as possible to foster world peace in countries like the Middle East.

Lastly, I don't anyone responding on-line comes lost to being qualified to comment on the Committee's recommendation. None-the-less, we all have opinions for whatever they are worth.

Obama - between a rock and a hard place

It seems to me that Norwegian trolls may have attempted to place him between a rock and a hard place with this one. If he had declined accepting this prize on grounds that the job had yet to be completed, he would have perhaps been the first to decline such an award and it would have appeared as though he was snubbing up his nose at the Norwegian Nobel Committee (and the world too), and if he accepted it, the timing could not have been any worse for firing up the emotions of those who have predisposed themselves to disliking him (putting it lightly), such as Rush Limbaugh, et al. So... I am asuming he may have had to choose between the lesser of the two evils. Can you imagine the fallout from such characters as Rush Limbaugh if he were to decline this award? Holy Moly!

It's obvious why he won, he

It's obvious why he won, he bashes the USA every chance he gets. Other countries love that, despite all the aid, protection, and support we've provided for decades. There wouldn't be a Norway if not for the USA. They can take their "prize" and shove it.

The only explanation

Well it seems that the only explanation for Obama winning is that he must have had some sorry competition. Too bad we won't know for 50 years.

Nobel Prize

In comments from other sources, it appears that the deadline for nominations to the Nobel committee are in early Febuary. If so, this means that he was assessed on his first weeks in office. Therefore, the committee could not award this as a )less-than)bronze medal for the Olympics. Neither would it be for achievements, as he had (has) none. It is rather more like when teachers give an extra credit grade because they like the kid so much they feel bad about failing him for the year.

Its pure clear jealousy!!! The committee did the voting based on their assessment. It was their award to give out---they didnt asked for your vote.LOL

Nobel

What is wrong with Obama trying to repair relations with other countries? What is wrong with working WITH other countries instead of bombing them? Yes, it is early in his presidency, but who in the last 9 years has tried to achieve better relations? The right-wingers don't care what he has done, their goal is to holler and disrupt.
